How it works

A better way to buy a website.

The biggest difference is simple: you see a homepage preview before deciding whether to pay for the full build.

Traditional

Pay first. Wait. Hope.

DepositWaitFirst draftRevisions
Goodfront

Talk. See. Decide.

TalkSee your previewDecideBuild
01 · WE TALK

Start with the business, not the template.

Usually a 20–30 minute conversation. The goal is to understand what customers need to see and what the website needs to accomplish.

  • What the business does
  • Who the customers are
  • Services to emphasize
  • Current website likes and dislikes
  • Brand colors, photos, competitors, and inspiration
  • The action you want visitors to take
02 · I BUILD YOUR PREVIEW

A real homepage preview, not a gray wireframe.

You see the look, layout, message, and main customer journey. It is enough to judge the approach — not the entire website built for free.

03 · YOU DECIDE

Like what you see? Move forward.

Choose the package that fits. If the preview is not right for you, there is no obligation to build the full site.

04 · FULL BUILD

Turn the preview into the complete site.

Pages, forms, review integration, galleries, booking, mobile layouts, SEO basics, and integrations are completed based on the package.

05 · REVIEW

Fine-tune the details.

You review the full build and request changes within the included revision rounds. The goal is simple: make it feel right before launch.

06 · LAUNCH

Connect it, test it, publish it.

Domain, forms, mobile testing, analytics, review integrations, and final checks are completed before the site goes live.

The first step is only a conversation.

Tell me what you want the website to do. I’ll take it from there.

Pricing FAQ

Questions before spending anything.

Do I have to pay Goodfront monthly?

No. Goodfront management is optional. Every live website still needs hosting somewhere; if you do not use a Goodfront monthly plan, the site can be handed off to a hosting account you control and pay directly, depending on the platform used.

When do I pay for the website?

50% is due when you approve the homepage preview and start the full build. The remaining 50% is due at launch.

How long does a website take?

Most small-business projects are designed to move quickly. A typical site may take about 1–2 weeks after the homepage preview is approved, depending on scope, how quickly content is provided, and revision timing.

Do I own my domain?

Yes. The domain should be registered to and controlled by the business owner.

What counts as a revision?

A revision round is a grouped set of requested changes after you review a draft. It keeps feedback organized instead of turning every small edit into a separate round.

Are domain and third-party fees included?

Domain registration and any paid third-party tools or integrations are billed separately unless they are specifically included in your project scope.

Can I upgrade later?

Yes. A Starter site can grow over time, and monthly plans can be changed if the business needs more support.

Not sure which package fits?

Start with a short conversation and homepage preview. We can figure out the right package from there.

About Goodfront

Great businesses should not look average online.

Goodfront started around a simple observation: local businesses can have years of experience, strong reviews, and loyal customers — while their website tells a completely different story.

GOODFRONTProvidence, Rhode IslandModern websites for local businesses.
Why it exists

Small by design.

Goodfront stays intentionally small. You work directly with the person designing the site, see your homepage preview early, and keep the process simple.

The goal is to make getting a strong website faster, clearer, and more affordable without making the end result feel generic.

See the process →
What Goodfront values

Simple principles.

Fit over sameness

The design should make sense for the business, its customers, and the action the site needs people to take.

Clarity over clutter

Customers should know what you do and what to do next without thinking about it.

See before you commit

Seeing a homepage preview makes it easier to know what you are paying for before the full build starts.

Work directly with the person building your site.

No layers of account managers. The process stays direct from the first conversation through launch.

Get started

See what your website could look like.

Tell me a little about the business. The next step is a short conversation, not a contract.

By submitting, you’re asking Goodfront to contact you about this website request. No mailing list.

Thanks — your request was sent. I’ll review your business and follow up to set up a short conversation.
Privacy

Simple privacy, too.

Goodfront only uses information you submit to respond to your website inquiry and manage the project you ask for.

What information is collected?

Information you choose to send through the inquiry form, such as your name, business name, email, phone number, website, and project details.

How is it used?

To review your request, contact you about the project, prepare a homepage preview, and provide services you choose to purchase. Goodfront does not sell your inquiry information.

Third-party services

Website hosting, forms, analytics, scheduling, review integrations, or other tools may be provided by third-party services. Their own privacy policies apply when those tools are used.

Questions or deletion requests

You can ask Goodfront to correct or delete inquiry information by using the site inquiry form and noting that your message is a privacy request.
